Every applicant for membership is issued on National Headquarters cards, signed by the applicant and approved by the parent, guardian or other person under whose supervision the applicant is being reared. The Junior Girls Unit Chairman, Gloria Klinefelter, verifies the eligibility of all applicants for membership. Admission fees are set by the Unit and the membership is voted on by the Unit.
Junior Girls Unit 4809 meetings are held at the VFW Post 4809, 5728 Bartee Street, Norfolk, VA 23502. This Unit was formed in 1998 and is the most active Unit in the State of Virginia.
Our Unit provides service to the community and volunteers to assist our veterans, especially those in the VA Medical Center in Hampton, their families, as well as the VFW Children's National Home in Michigan.
